Cord sets allow for quick and easy connections to an electrical device, often a sensor, transducer or communication device. Typically, an application will call for a connector on one side of the cord set, and flying leads on the other. Extension cable cord sets are also available.

Cord set connectors are standardized, and the type required depends wholly on the device they are connecting to. Common sizes include: M8 (Pico), M12 (Micro), 1/2-20 (Micro), and 7/8-16 (MINI).
